Comprehensive Measures to Safeguard Wenhuayuan Farmers' Market during the Spring Festival

As the Spring Festival approaches, to safeguard the "safety on people's dining tables", maintain good order in farmers' markets, and ensure the orderly supply of "vegetable baskets", Zhangzhou Municipal Bureau of Market Regulation carried out a comprehensive special inspection on farmers' markets before the Spring Festival on January 24, focusing on the supply of agricultural and sideline products and price changes, so as to guarantee the safety of the festival market. Law enforcement officers went deep into every corner of the farmers' market, with a focus on checking holiday hot-selling foods such as meat, vegetables, grain and oil, and pastries. They carefully inspected the animal quarantine certificates and meat quality inspection certificates for meat, increased the sampling inspection of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables, randomly took samples on site for rapid testing with quick inspection equipment, and required that vegetables with excessive pesticide residues be immediately removed from shelves and their sources be traced. On the other hand, efforts were stepped up in price supervision to protect consumers' rights and interests. To ensure price stability during the Spring Festival, law enforcement officers intensified price inspections, with emphasis on checking the prices of daily necessities such as grain and oil, vegetables, and fruits. By issuing price reminders and warnings, they urged operators to strictly abide by price laws and regulations, clearly mark prices, and refrain from price gouging or colluding to raise prices. All these measures aim to create a safe, orderly and reassuring shopping environment for citizens, enabling everyone to have a happy and peaceful Spring Festival.
